After the 1st January 2015, all tax payments paid to the cancelled bank accounts of Tax Offices (now Territorial Branches) will be returned back to the taxpayer.

The Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic together with the General Financial Directorate arranged the 12th ceremonial announcement of TOP 20 legal entities, which the most significantly contributed to the national budget in 2013, on 29th May 2014.  

Employees of the Financial Administration and Customs Administration revealed untaxed goods approximately in the amount of CZK 90 million during the joint action called „MERKUR“. The action was aimed to taxation of goods imported from the third countries, especially from Southeast Asia.

On October 15 to 17, 2014 the Financial Administration of the Czech Republic organized an international workshop, which was focused on very contemporary topic of “Social media and digital communication”.

A new attachment of the tax submission form will help to gather all requisite information.

The link, which allegedly serves for tax refund, redirects user to a fake website with a form to fill in.
The Tax Cobra stroke again. A potential fuel tax evasion was nipped in the bud. Based on analysis of information, rapid exchange of information among members of the Tax Cobra (joint team of Unit for Combating Corruption and Financial Crimes (ÚOKFK), the General Financial Directorate and the General Directorate of Customs) and the subsequent intervention at the fuel traders, tax evasion in the amount of approximately CZK 650 million was prevented.

Employees of the Financial Administration of the Czech Republic intervened in an action called „FATA“ against operators of lotteries and other gambling games, who have not fulfilled their tax obligations properly.  

Policemen of the Unit for Combating Corruption and Financial Crimes carried out an action called “ELIS” on Wednesday, July 9th, 2014.

The distrainers have focused mainly on the taxpayers who have intentionally moved to the capital recently in the belief that they escape the tax authority’s attention here. 

Auctioned goods were seized during controlling actions aimed at non-taxed import from the third countries that proceeded in May and June this year. 

Members of the team "Cobra" will be engaged in identifying, detecting and combating selected tax evasion cases in both the tax and criminal side. A cooperative solving of cases ensure full access to information and evidence means that will be used by all involved members in the proceedings.  

 On Sunday, June 8th 2014, employees of the Financial Administration of the Czech Republic with the assistance of employees of the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic took action called „Royal“ against lottery keepers who have not fulfilled their tax obligations.

The Unit for Combating Corruption and Financial Crime (ÚOKFK) revealed a case of value added tax evasion on trading of fuels during the action called „MAX“. The damage that should have been caused to the Czech Republic was preliminarily estimated to be approximately CZK 295 million.

Financial Administration of the Czech Republic has not diminished its efforts to eliminate tax evasions of VAT. Since the beginning of this year it has been issued dozens of security orders, which managed to prevent non-payment of taxes amounting to nearly CZK 250 million.
