Financial Administration of the Czech Republic has gone after tax debtors
On Sunday, June 8th 2014, employees of the Financial Administration of the Czech Republic with the assistance of employees of the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic took action called „Royal“ against lottery keepers who have not fulfilled their tax obligations.
Financial means in amount of nearly CZK 30 million were secured under the supervision of the Specialized Tax Office employees.
The subject of seizure was equipment of casinos, e.g. 19 gaming tables and 121 gaming machines valued at about CZK 22 million, nearly CZK 5 million of financial means in foreign currencies, 5 cars, alcohol and cigarettes.
This action is part of the Financial Administration concept for the fight against tax evasion and non-compliance with the tax obligations. “We want to emphasize that it is really necessary to ensure fulfilment of obligations under the tax laws”, said Mr. Jiří Žežulka, the Deputy Director General of the Financial Administration of the Czech Republic.
