On 18th February 2020, the European Council adopted a legislative package that applies from 1st January 2024. The objective of this new measure is to give tax authorities of the Member States the right instruments to detect possible e-commerce VAT fraud carried out by sellers established in another Member State or in a non-EU country.
On November 25, the Chamber of Deputies approved the Ministry of Finance’s proposal to repeal the Act on Registration of Sales, which should come into effect on January 1, 2023.
On June 24, 2022, the Chamber of Deputies supported the abolition of electronic records of sales (EET) by the end of this year. „EET“ is currently suspended, but entrepreneurs can still use it voluntarily and record sales.
