Tax evasions in value of almost CZK 750 million revealed by the Financial Administration of the Czech Republic
Two months long joint action called "PAVUČINA", which was realized by the Financial Administration of the Czech Republic, the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic and the Financial-Analytic Department of the Ministry of Finance, revealed the tax evasions on VAT in value of almost CZK 750 million, in connection with fuel trade.
Tangible outcome of this action was seizure of means in value of almost CZK 80 million. This amount comprises of CZK 33 million in bank accounts, 270,000 litres of fuel, properties in estimated value of CZK 30 million, luxury cars in value of CZK 8 million, trucks in value of almost CZK 1.5 million and other movables in value of CZK 2 million.
Moreover, the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic, which provided primarily the technical support for the Financial Administration of the Czech Republic, managed to secure 700 litres of diesel that was not substantiated by payment of consumption tax.
