Financial and Customs Administration of the Czech Republic has focused on clothes and shoes traders
Action "AZIMUT" took place on 7th and 8th August 2013 as a part of comprehensive measures to the fight against tax evasions.
Forty tons of shoes were seized in the course of action focused on companies with high risk of tax avoidance related to VAT on import of goods from Southeast Asia. Besides, the Financial Administration in co-operation with Financial-Analytic Department of the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic secured CZK 11,6 mil. from bank accounts of risky taxpayers. That is because these risky companies are very often dissolved before they should submit the tax return on VAT.
