IOTA in Prague

It was three years ago when the Czech Tax Administration welcomed the representatives of the Executive Council of the Intra-European Organisation of Tax Administrations (IOTA) to the Czech Republic.

On 5 – 7 April 2009 the Czech Tax Administration hosted this prestigious international meeting in Prague again. For better understanding of importance, the Executive Council is the second highest statutory body, which manages Organization between particular General Assemblies. The current composition of the Executive Council is consisted of the Czech Republic, Estonia, France, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland and the Great Britain. The members of Executive Council are elected for one-year period.

The agenda of Executive Council is usually about making decisions, which have essential influence on working of Organization e.g. budgetary issue, working programme etc. Nevertheless, this Prague Executive Council was exceptional because the representatives set up criteria for selection of new Technical Advisors in the IOTA, who will fill the post of leaving experts from Germany and the Great Britain.
