Controlling action focused on the fulfilment of tax obligations on road tax was finished with the assessment in the amount of nearly CZK 50 million.
The new provision § 109, paragraph 2c) of the VAT Act No. 235/2004 Coll., will come into force from 1st January 2014.
In connection with § 101a of the newly amended Value Added Tax Act (No. 235/2004 Coll.), from 1st January 2014 are all VAT payers required to submit tax returns, additional tax returns and recapitulative statements including their attachments electronically.
Two months long joint action called "PAVUČINA", which was realized by the Financial Administration of the Czech Republic, the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic and the Financial-Analytic Department of the Ministry of Finance, revealed the tax evasions on VAT in value of almost CZK 750 million, in connection with fuel trade.
A joint controlling action of the Financial Administration of the Czech Republic and Customs Administration of the Czech Republic, which was aimed primarily against the VAT evasions occurring in the import of fuels from the European Union countries to the Czech Republic, started on 10th October and ended on 14th October 2013.
Action "AZIMUT" took place on 7th and 8th August 2013 as a part of comprehensive measures to the fight against tax evasions.
The new website of the Financial Administration of the Czech Republic was launched on 13th August 2013.
A joint action of Czech, Slovak, Austrian and German Tax and Customs Administrations, aimed on searching of commodities that are being used for VAT frauds, took place at dozens of places in the Czech borderland during last two weeks.

 Based on new amendment of the Act No. 235/2004 Coll., on Value Added Tax (VAT), which came into force on 1.1.2013, a new institute of unreliable VAT payer together with liability for unpaid VAT by unreliable VAT payer were introduced.

The Financial Administration and the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic secured 700 000 litres of the FAME bio diesel (fatty acid methyl ester) in the framework of joint action called “RUNWAY”. Based on this fact, it has been prevented the tax evasion on VAT in the amount of CZK 9 million.

Ministry of Finance in co-operation with the General Financial Directorate awarded the most significant taxpayers of the corporate income tax in 2012. The representatives of Ministry of Finance and the Czech Tax Administration met delegates of awarded companies at the representative premises of Břevnov Monastery on 16th May 2013.

During the night on 2nd April 2013 took place a joint checking action “JUNO” of the Financial Administration and the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic. Auditors checked information in accompanying documentations of the stopped vehicles importing fuels to the Czech Republic.
